Privacy Policy

Studmade (“we”, “us”) turns a photo into a buildable brick model with a parts list and instructions, at studmade.app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we use your photo to make your model, your builds are private, and you can ask us to delete everything.
What we collect
- Photos you upload, and what we make from them: a 3D mesh, the brick model, its parts list and instruction files.
- Account details if you sign in: your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, the name and profile picture Google shares with us.
- An anonymous session cookie (
studmade_session_id) so you can build before signing in, plus the sign-in cookies that keep you logged in. - Usage records: how many builds you've started each day (to enforce daily limits), and which builds you've paid for.
- Payment detailsare entered on Stripe's checkout page and go to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Anonymous site analytics (page views, referrers, device type) through Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies.
How we use it
- To make your model: your photo is sent to our image-to-3D processor, and the result is turned into bricks.
- To show you your builds, let you download what you've bought, and keep you signed in.
- To enforce daily build limits and keep the service from being abused.
- To email you sign-in links you ask for. We don't send marketing email.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use your photos to train AI models.
Your builds are private
Builds are private by default. Nobody else can see your photo or your model unless you choose to share it. We don't have a public gallery yet. If we add one, sharing will be something you turn on for each build, and sharing your source photo will be a separate choice that is always off unless you turn it on.
Who helps us run Studmade
We use a small number of service providers, who process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: database, accounts, and file storage for photos and build files.
- Fal.ai: converts your photo into a 3D mesh.
- Stripe: payments.
- Vercel: website hosting and anonymous analytics.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose it.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep your photos, builds and account until you ask us to delete them. Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires it. Anonymous sessions that never sign in may be cleaned up over time.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing phil@gammuttdesign.com. We'll delete your photos, meshes, builds and account, and answer within 30 days. You can clear the session cookie in your browser at any time; you'll lose access to builds you made without signing in.
Children
Studmade is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If a child under 13 has used Studmade, a parent can email us and we'll delete it. Younger builders should use Studmade with a parent or guardian, who should be the one to upload photos and pay.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and access to it is limited by account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you give us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll tell you on the site before they apply.
